Hola mi gente!

Before diving into this exciting adventure, make sure to check out my vlog here.

Exploring the wine region of Pagos del Rey in Toro was an absolute delight. Nestled in the heart of Spain, this area is renowned for its rich history and exquisite wines. The tour began with a warm welcome from our guide, who shared fascinating insights into the winemaking process dating back centuries. Did you know Toro wines have been enjoyed since the Roman era?

Each sip told a story of the region’s dedication to quality. From the deep, earthy flavors to the hints of spice, every glass was a unique experience that spoke to Toro’s winemaking heritage.  We even had the chance to eat grapes fresh from the vineyard—purple was definitely the best!

After our wine tasting adventure, we ventured to Zamora, a city steeped in history. Known as the "City of Romanesque Art," Zamora captivated us with its stunning architecture and medieval charm. Our visit to the Lookout Point provided panoramic views of the Duero River and the city’s picturesque skyline, transporting us back in time to when Zamora was a crucial fortress in medieval Spain.

One of the highlights of our time in Zamora was stumbling upon a medieval festival in full swing. The streets were transformed into a vibrant celebration of history, with townspeople dressed in medieval attire, artisan markets, and reenactments of historical events. It felt like we had traveled back in time to witness life in the Middle Ages. The lively atmosphere, complete with music, dance, and traditional foods, truly brought the city’s heritage to life. We even caught a glimpse of knights in armor engaging in mock battles—an experience that added a whole new dimension to our exploration of this historic town.

Until our next adventure,

Signing off,

Jahnia
