Named for the year IES Abroad was founded, the 1950 Society is a group of alumni, parents, and friends who demonstrate their commitment to IES Abroad by giving $1,950 (or more) in unrestricted funds annually. 1950 Society members contribute, on average, over half of the total dollars raised by the Annual Fund every year. Each gift is vital to our student's ability to experience the life-changing discoveries of IES Abroad.
IES Abroad's mission is to educate students to become global leaders through premier study abroad and internship programs. Today, more than 6,000 will experience study abroad and internship programs through IES Abroad - an exhilarating challenge of academics and cultural immersion. These students rely on the members of the 1950 Society to contribute funds that provide scholarships, engaging and unique educational adventures, and experiences that transform their worldviews.
