As one of the nation's oldest and most reputable study abroad providers, we are proud of our academic consortium of 235+ leading U.S. colleges and universities. Educational institutions that are part of the IES Abroad Consortium are actively involved in the mission, direction, and academic program development and review of IES Abroad programs.
We have a structured academic governance system composed of elected and appointed faculty and staff representing the IES Abroad Consortium. Through specific program evaluation methods, the Academic Consortium schools also work with us to continually measure and refine our academic programming so that it remains challenging, innovative, and relevant to the changing needs of today’s students.
IES Abroad Member institutions agree by contract to the full transfer of credit from IES Abroad programs to the student’s home institutions, thereby allowing their students to more easily participate in our programming, as well as transfer their own aid or receive IES Abroad financial support.
