Meet Our Summer 2023 Correspondents

My name is Bess, and I'm a senior Journalism major at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm a published writer and enjoy writing for news publications, creating digital media projects, and expanding my writing perspectives through global cultures.

Hey everybody! I'm Inessa and I'm a sophomore Social Work major. I love meeting new people and hanging out with friends. I love chai lattes with oat milk and my favorite comfort show is New Girl. I love volunteering and doing service in my free time!

I love to hang out with friends, work out at the gym, swim, watch TV/movies, and drink iced lattes. A few fun facts about me are that I lived in England for two years, I've played the piano at Carnegie Hall, and I'm scuba certified.

I'm Nana from Ghana! Aside from documenting experiences I appreciate, I love to eat, sleep and watch romcoms. I think screenwriters are a gift to mankind. I am passionate about my family and friends, and try to do my best to show them just that. :)

Apollo, originally from Asheville NC, is a student at Northwestern University in Chicago studying game design and writing. His favorite part of travel is definitely meeting new people and discovering new music.

Hi! My name is Chloé, I am a current UNC student but I was born and raised in France! I love discovering different cultures and always look for opportunities to acquire a global worldview which is why I decided to study abroad in Barcelona with IES.

My full name is Virginia, but I go by Ginger and have all throughout my life. I am majoring in psychology with a concentration in health and medicine. I love to run cross-country/track, try new foods, and hang out with my friends!

I am Jacob Ferrebee, a Linguistics and Romance Languages double major who loves to travel and experience the different areas of the beautiful world. I love sprucing up my worldly knowledge through reading, TV, and conversations with my friends.

I am outgoing and have strong communication skills. I am creative professionally and personally, I enjoy painting and drawing in my free time and sell my artwork online. I am determined, and have a strong desire to make a positive impact.

My name is Khushi, which means happiness in Hindi, and I am studying neuroscience on the pre-med track. I love experimenting with my outfits, writing about life in my journals, reading, learning about other people's passions, and, of course, my dog.

I am a statistics and data science major, dancer, photographer, jeweler, and general art and math based life form. I'm a senior in college, hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, where I learned how to dance, maintain finances, and hike very fast.

I am a Mexican first-generation low income student at Yale University. I love recording my life and would describe myself as an outgoing person who loves to support those around her.

I grew up with a Montessori education and understand the concept of being a lifelong learner and I continue to pursue my passions in college. I am a sprinter on the Washington University Bears Track and Field team and play cello in my free time.

I am Multimedia Journalism student at Skidmore College. In my free time, I make a lot of art and go on as many adventures as I can with my friends!

I am a multidisciplinary artist, creating music, collage and video work, and poetry under the name 'Mezzy Shivers'. In my spare time, I enjoy going on long walks in the woods with noise-cancelling headphones and taking photos of my friends.

Hi! My name is Annabel and I'm a junior at UNC from Austin, TX. I love good food, live music, yoga, sports, hiking, and being on the water. I'm studying journalism and public policy, but in another life I'd want to be a singer, astronaut, or chef.

I am a sophomore studying finance and Chinese. In my free time, I love to play guitar, play chess, rock climb, and go on runs/hikes in new places. I chose to study abroad for the skills, experiences, friends, and memories that come from doing so.

My name is Adelaide Diseroad Watts. I'm a student at Indiana University studying Journalism and Public Relations. In my spare time you can find me reading, listening to True Crime podcasts, trying new coffee shops and walking my dog.

I'm Amelia McCabe and I'm a current Freshman at the University of Tennessee. I'm originally from Chicago, Illinois and I love getting to go home and visit the city! I'm a theatre major and spend lots of time acting, with friends, or as a barista!

I am a theatre major from Louisville, KY. After college I am pursuing a career in event production (doing lights, sound, cameras, production management). I really enjoy art, philosophy, exploring outdoors, activism, and drag shows.

Hey! My name is Hannah Huber, and I'm a recent University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate where I studied Psychology as well as Health Promotion & Health Equity. I'm a lover of long summer days, being near water, crocheting, and photography.

I love taking all kinds of photos specifically concerts, portraits, and nature. Although I am a nursing major I have always loved the arts and always will. Some fun facts about me are that I have three cats and I have been to almost fifty concerts.

Hi my name is Tatum! In my free time, I enjoy reading and hammocking, as well as hanging out with my friends and exploring new places. A fun fact about me is my flight to Dublin will be my first time in an airport AND on a plane! Wish me luck!

Hi! I am a senior graduating from UT Austin with a Bachelor's in Economics and Sociology. After I come back from Spain and Granada, I will be moving to DC and I can't wait. In my free time, I like hiking, cooking, and dancing like nobody's watching.

One fun fact about myself is I am a certifies Pilates instructor! I also love photography/fashion so working on my Pinterest and vsco is a hobby of mine. Being involved in a student org as creative photographer, I help create/direct photoshoots!
