Guide to British Terminology

Cheers is my new favorite word.

Hi everyone! I've been staying so busy traveling around London, and exploring Scotland with my friend Geraldine and her family. What a life I live!

Anyways, this post is all about terms. No, not "swag" or "lit" because I have never heard that in Britain. But terms that I never expected they really used, terms that I've never heard of, and terms that I absolutely love.

Over dinner with a British friend I find us laughing trying to understand things we say. Walking the streets I hear the basic British terms we know back in the states. And staying with my friend in Scotland all made me learn more about British terms.

Here are some of the most interesting terms I have heard while studying and traveling throughout Europe:

Overall, after hearing them day-by-day I find myself using them constantly. Words like elevator, and thank you have become a distant memory. I'll probably throw them in conversation back home as well.

Until next time,

Cheers xx Kalista Sutton

Hey everyone! I'm Kali from New York. I am a junior in marketing and communications at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. You can find me at a local coffee shop or outside at a park admiring the views. This is my first overseas trip so I cannot wait to share the experience with you. You can expect posts such as typical tourist photos where I pose in front of a statue, photos of food (who doesn't love that?), and photos of me trying to get the princes attention on the way to class.
