Simona Di Giustino is the Acting Center Director at IES Abroad Rome.
Simona holds an M.A. in Literary and Scientific Translation from La Sapienza University. She graduated with honors with a dissertation on the culture-specific elements of language and their implications on dubbing and subtitling. Her studies also focused on linguistic and cultural diversity.
Simona has extensive experience in international higher education, having worked for several study abroad programs in Rome. An IES Abroad Rome staff member since 2006, she has been involved in many aspects of the program over the years: from academic programming and coordination to student cultural integration, from internships management to customized programs oversight.
With dual Italian-Canadian citizenship, Simona has been exploring the world since a very young age, and this contributed to her passion for fostering cross-cultural connections. Simona loves music and plays the guitar and the piano.
