SO 375 - Her Side of History: Gender in Mediterranean Societies

This course studies the evolution of gender relations and constructions in Western societies throughout Contemporary History. It focuses on aspects, events and historical times that have contributed to a gradual increase of gender equality. It also analyzes the evolution of gender relations in Southern shores of the Mediterranean and their specific features, raising a discussion on the new challenges for the future.
