EC/ES/PP 364 - Nantes Green Capital: A Model for Understanding the Green Economy

The objective of this course is to discuss the different issues surrounding sustainable development and its implementation in global (French and European) as well as local economies. The approach of this course will be based on the techniques and tools used in environmental policies as well as an analysis of their economic consequences. The city of Nantes, which the European Commission elected as the European Green Capital City in 2013, and the Loire Atlantic region will serve as examples for studying the implementation of French and European environmental policies.
