After 12 years, Dr. Thibaut de Berranger will be stepping down as the Center Director of IES Abroad Nantes in order to focus more on his position as Associate Professor of Public and European Law at the University of Nantes. Thibaut will continue to assist IES Abroad Nantes as an Academic Advisor, Consultant, and Liaison with the University of Nantes.
We are pleased to announce Anna Shoemaker as the new IES Abroad Nantes Center Director. Anna, currently the Assistant Director of the IES Abroad Paris French Studies Center, joined our Paris team in 2008, serving in many different roles, including Interim Director in 2013.
Anna attended the IES Abroad Paris French Studies Program as a student from the University of Texas – Austin, where she received a B.A. in French, Art History, and Plan II Honors. Anna then went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Training Management from the Université Paris-Dauphine, where she wrote her thesis on training faculty to use learning technology.
Over the years, Anna has filled a variety of roles at the IES Abroad Paris French Studies Center, ranging from accounting and student affairs to managing customized programs and organizing the internship program.
Anna will begin as the IES Abroad Nantes Center Director on July 1, 2016.
