We are pleased to welcome Tuskegee University as an Associate Member to the IES Abroad Consortium.
Our Consortium is made up of more than 235 premier American public and private colleges and universities. Consortium schools accept full transfer of credit from IES Abroad programs to their home institution transcripts.
Previously, there was no streamlined way for Tuskegee University students to study abroad, making it very challenging to gain benefit from international academic and internship programs. As an Associate Member of the Consortium, Tuskegee University students will now have the opportunity to participate in study abroad and international internship opportunities, as well as have support throughout their experience. They will also be eligible for IES Abroad scholarships, including a long standing HBCU grant, will receive pre-departure and on-site advising, and will be supported by IES Abroad’s health and safety protocols.
The addition of Tuskegee University marks our 9th HBCU to join the Consortium. We are proud to be partnered with almost 10 percent of the 106 HBCUs designated by the White House Initiative on HBCUs. These institutions include:
- Claflin University
- Clark Atlanta University
- Hampton University
- Howard University
- Morehouse College
- North Carolina A&T State University
- Spelman College
- Tuskegee University
- Xavier University
Welcome to the Consortium, Tuskegee!
