Sydney Summer - Study Australia
Engaging courses, field study opportunities, and organized cultural events make sure you won’t have a dull moment when you study abroad in Sydney. Fulfill a grad requirement or try out a new discipline—whichever you choose, you’ll learn more about Australia, and yourself, than you ever could at home.
- Enroll in two courses for a total of 6 credits
- Disciplines may include: Aboriginal History and Culture; Australian Literature; and Australian Politics, Society, and Identity
- Live in a studio apartment (with access to a shared common kitchen) or in a five-bedroom suite (with a kitchen)
- Depending on your course enrollment, take a field study trip to Alice Springs and Uluru (Ayers Rock)
- Explore Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef on an optional field trip
Sydney Summer - Internship
With an IES Abroad internship in Sydney, you can add international work experience to your resume and gain professional connections--all while exploring a new city!
- Spend about 25 hours per week at your internship placement in a local business or organization
- Enroll in a 6-credit internship seminar
- Explore Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef on an optional field trip
