Stolica, the film directed by Elisabetta Lodoli (Documentary Film Instructor at IES Abroad Rome) and written/produced by Dr. Octavio di Leo (Center Director at IES Abroad Rio de Janeiro), has been accepted to the Athens International Film + Video Festival in Ohio from April 11-17, 2014.
The schedule for the screening will be posted shortly here: http://athensfilmfest.org/2014-schedule/.
The film is a result of the 2012 IES Abroad faculty seminar "Conflict Transformation in the 21st Century: Meeting the Other," led by Octavio and European Union Center Director Dr. Ullrich Lohrmann, which included a group of U.S. faculty members and a camera crew that went to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The documentary records the stories of women and men, old and young, who lived on different sides through the 1992-95 war in Yugoslavia. This emotional film provides insight into the long-term impact of the conflict. Watch the trailer here.
