Studying abroad will change the way you think about the world. Elisabeth Hawthorne (Rome, Spring 2015) eloquently describes a feeling that everyone who has studied abroad understands in our Blog Post of the Week. It’s the heightened awareness of how many lives—each with its own complex personal narrative—are out there in every corner of the globe being lived. This may sound obvious, but until you spend time somewhere new, embracing a completely different way of life, you have not seen it as clearly. As Elisabeth says, “It’s humbling. Or at least it should be.”
Our Blog Post of the Week also shows how much fun studying abroad can be, with this great video of Elisabeth’s trip to Athens, Crete, and Istanbul.
