Study Abroad Mania turns the NCAA college basketball tournament on its head, and we want you to join the fun! Round 1 voting closed last night with nearly 2,300 students, staff, alumni, and fans casting their votes. Barcelona won in a landslide while E.U. snuck past Syndey. Check out all the Round 1 winners and cast your vote for the Round 2 matchups as Study Abroad Mania continues!
Voting will continue on each of the head-to-head match-ups until only one city remains. The last city standing on April 22 will be crowned the “Top Study Abroad Destination of 2010.”
Voting is now open on our Facebook fan page on the “Mania” tab. You do not need to have a Facebook account to vote.
Consider this when voting: If you were going to study abroad, regardless of your age or where you may have studied abroad in the past, where would you most want to study abroad?
You will be allowed only one vote for each matchup. Each round of voting will be open for one week, starting on Thursday and concluding the following Wednesday. The city accumulating the most votes within each matchup for the week will advance to the next round.
The voting periods are:
Round 1 Voting: CLOSED Wednesday, March 24
Round 2 Voting: Thursday, March 25 - Wednesday, March 31
Round 3 Voting: Thursday, April 1 - Wednesday, April 7
Round 4 Voting: Thursday, April 8 - Wednesday, April 14
Championship Voting: Thursday, April 15 - Wednesday, April 21
The winning city will be announced on Thursday, April 22 after the final round of voting has concluded.
Spread the word and build a case to help move your top pick to the winning position!
Have fun voting!
