Our 2nd Study Abroad Film Festival received an overwhelming 1,077 votes, and we couldn’t be more excited to announce the winner. Kyle Rodriguez (Occidental College | IES Abroad Buenos Aires, Spring 2015) take a bow for your award-winning film, It's Okay!
As the winner, Kyle will receive a $1,000 award and an invitation to the screening of his film at IES Abroad’s Annual Conference in October, where he will be recognized in front of IES Abroad member institutions and worldwide staff.
Kyle’s film highlights his time abroad on the IES Abroad Buenos Aires program during spring 2015, and addresses a topic and aspect of study abroad most people don’t talk about.
Elisabetta Lodoli, Juror and IES Abroad Rome Film Studies Faculty, commented that Kyle’s film showcased, “An unusual, mature, and sincere point of view on living abroad.” Our 2014 Study Abroad Film Festival winner, Alexa Penton, remarked that Kyle’s film was, “Not just beautiful, but also honest and important.”
