Based on recommendations from our study abroad colleagues, student feedback, and the results of our own rigorous program evaluations and surveys, these new programs are designed to further meet the needs and desires of students.
COMING SOON: New Programs Beginning in Fall 2012
Costa Rica: Social & Environmental Change Program
Based in suburban San Jos̩ and including field study in Costa Rica’s diverse eco-regions, this English-taught program offers experiential, hands-on learning in Environmental Studies, Sustainable Business Practices, or Human Rights. English-taught courses in a series of four modules introduce aspects of Central America, including intensive Spanish and an internship, service-learning placement, or research project. READ MORE
London & Oxford Health Practice & Policy Program
With an interdisciplinary and hands-on approach to studying health care issues in diverse communities, this program includes coursework in London and at the University of Oxford, service learning in local communities, and a week-long field study trip to Kingston, Jamaica, to examine health care in a developing economy. Cape Town Summer Program
For students interested in health-related careers, this program allows students to witness and participate in the South African effort to deliver health care effectively. Field visits and field placements provide students first-hand experience with the health issues in Cape Town and in the townships surrounding the city. READ MORE
Shanghai Summer Internship Program
Designed for students who want to participate in an academic internship in the thriving and cosmopolitan city of Shanghai while studying Chinese language, the Internship Program offers opportunities to work in many fields such as business, public policy, media, and NGOs. READ MORE
