We’re proud to congratulate our March 2016 Ambassadors of the Month: Rita McCall (Study in Granada, Spring 2015) and Alexis Turpin (Santiago Summer Health Studies, Summer 2015).
Rita McCall is a senior studying Biology at Grinnell College. After returning from Granada, Spain, Rita began serving as a peer advisor in Grinnell’s Off-Campus Study Office. As an Ambassador, Rita has supported IES Abroad Representatives who visit campus by fielding students’ questions at study abroad fairs and information sessions. Rita also formed part of a student panel providing information on study abroad.
Alexis Turpin is a Nursing major at Indiana University. Our Santiago Summer Health Studies program was the perfect match for her academic interests! Alexis is a great resource to Nursing students on her campus and promoter of study abroad in general. She and a classmate served at the INDY International Festival as part of a two-hour panel. Alexis has also spoken with Nursing students about how they can make study abroad work within their major requirements and timeline. Alexis said that her favorite cultural activity during her time in Santiago, Chile, was watching the Copa America matches.
Congratulations, Rita & Alexis!
