We are thrilled to announce that Keith A. Dipple has been named executive director of IES Internships!
As executive director, Dipple will direct all activities of the newly created IES Internships unit, which offers full-time, unpaid for-credit summer internships in Barcelona, Dublin, London, Rome, Shanghai, and Sydney across a variety of fields. In his new position, Mr. Dipple will cultivate and maintain relationships with businesses offering internships, along with faculty and administrators at colleges and universities, while also directing sales, marketing, internship placement and programming efforts.
Mr. Dipple started his professional career at JP Morgan (then Morgan Guaranty Trust Company) and after a brief stint at Mellon Bank, returned to JP Morgan, serving as a manager on the firm’s trading floors, leading both traders and sales specialists in foreign exchange, fixed income and options.
In the summer of 2009 Keith joined the University of Chicago's Careers office as part of the Employer Relations and Development team. He was promoted to Executive Director of External Engagement and led a team of 10 whose main focus was bringing in new internship opportunities for students. During his four years at Chicago, internships rose from 250 in 2009 to more than 850 in 2013.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Healthcare Management and a Master’s in Arts in Leadership Management from Bellevue University, Bellevue, Neb. Mr. Dipple expects to complete his Ph.D. in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minn., in 2014.
