Q: Which of your many film-related accomplishments do you feel the most proud of?
A: I've realized many different films (TV series, shorts, TV movies, long feature and documentaries). Among them, the one I loved and still love more than the others is STOLICA (CHAIR), a documentary I filmed in Bosnia and about Bosnia 20 years after the end of the Balkans War. The people I met there and who are in the documentary enriched my soul and my way of filmmaking.
Q: What advice would you give to young filmmakers today?
A: Put together these elements: thought, intuition, feeling, ethical sense.
Q: What is your favorite documentary? And why?
A: My Architect, by Nathaniel Kahn, (USA 2003). Because it's one of the most compelling documentary about father-son and art-life relationships.
Q: How would you condense the spirit of study abroad into one word?
A: Self-detection.
