As you know, our newest IES Abroad Center in Nice, France, is opening this fall, and we’re excited to share more information about our program offerings in the French Riviera!
Nice will be the home of three new programs (one IES Abroad program and two Direct Enrollment options):
French Studies & Business on the Riviera
This program gives students the opportunity to take business courses and non-intensive language courses through our partner university, IPAG, and take French language and area studies courses with IES Abroad.
IES Abroad area studies courses will include topics like French cinema, revolutionary art movements, immigration, environmental studies, French politics and society, management of cultural institutions, and entrepreneurship.
IPAG is an international business school located in the center of Nice. IPAG’s small, interactive classes encourage our students to bond with students from 35 nationalities studying at the school. In a recent poll of business school alumni taken by L’Express, IPAG earned second place in France in students' overall satisfaction and eighth in France on its international profile.
Direct Enrollment - SKEMA: Science, Engineering & Business
In this Direct Enrollment program, students enroll in SKEMA, located an hour away from Nice. SKEMA’s state-of-the-art campus is located in the heart of Sophia Antipolis, France’s premier technology park. The SKEMA Direct Enrollment Program is designed for students interested in cutting edge businesses that seek to combine technical interests with business studies. IES Abroad students at SKEMA will enroll full-time in business, engineering, environmental science, and/or marine biology courses while improving their skills with French language courses. SKEMA, which has AACSB and EQUIS accreditation, is consistently ranked as one of the best European business schools in the world by the Financial Times.
Direct Enrollment: Université Nice Sophia Antipolis
Founded in 1965, the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis (UNS) is a public university with campuses in the city of Nice and in Sophia Antipolis. UNS consists of nine training and research units, two institutes, and two schools. Our students directly enroll at the University and will take courses in the following areas: the Sciences, the Faculty of Law and Political Science, and the Faculty of Letters, Arts, and Humanities.
Exciting field trips for all Nice programs will include Avignon, Barcelona, Corsica, and Marseille.
