On November 17th, the Nanyang Girls' School in Singapore made a special visit to the IES Abroad Vienna Center to perform and to collaborate with students on the IES Abroad Vienna - Music Program. The visit was part of IES Abroad Vienna’s Green Zone series, which creates opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue.
The talented visitors presented a program of chamber works by Beethoven, Schumann, and Granados. They also played two pieces on traditional Chinese instruments: the erhu and the pipa. IES Abroad Music students followed with an equally impressive ensemble. The performances were a special exchange of both music in culture in Vienna. IES Abroad Vienna - Music student, Erik Fauss, commented that the experience has strengthened his interest to teach music internationally, and to collaborate across different music genres.
The next day, IES Abroad Vienna - Music students put on a successful concert. See the video below for the full performance.
