Berlin: November 4, 2015

IES Abroad Berlin has deep roots in the academic community. Having been around since the Wall came down, our Berlin Center gives students access to the world-renowned Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, as well as courses at our Center taught by some of the best faculty in the city. These connections also provide outstanding contacts for our internship opportunities. Our Center is located in Mitte, literally the middle of Berlin—a dynamic part of what was once East Berlin and the cultural center of the city. Our long history in Berlin has established an excellent network of host families, with comfortable and safe housing in vibrant neighborhoods. Come see for yourself and learn about our five Berlin programs first hand!

Freiburg: November 9, 2015

Freiburg im Breisgau is a lively university city renowned for its heritage of learning, distinctive medieval architecture, varied cultural life, and natural beauty. Flanked by the Black Forest, Upper Rhine Valley, and in proximity to the French and Swiss borders, it is impossible not to fall in love with Freiburg. Freiburg is also known as the environmental capital of Germany. Modern Freiburg is a young city—students comprise one-sixth of the population—and along with our integrated housing options, the city itself gives students the opportunity to integrate into German life. We can’t wait to welcome you to Freiburg where you can sample a slice of what your students experience, and learn about our five programs in Freiburg.
