On Tuesday, January 26th, 2010, IES Abroad held its first All-Center Alumni Reception in Washington, DC. More than 85 former students and their guests gathered at the University Club. Dr. Mary Dwyer, President of IES Abroad, honored Kathleen Kervin Diamond (Nantes, 1967), who recently established an IES Abroad scholarship for financially deserving students concentrating in foreign language immersion programs. Dr. Dwyer also honored former IES Abroad Board Member Robert Kugel and his wife, Dorothy, who made a significant contribution to the William Gaines Scholarship. Everyone had a terrific time and IES Abroad is looking forward to hosting more of these types of receptions around the country. Check out these great photos from the event! |
