Chinese New Year has come and gone, but the life of a study abroad student can be busy, with classes, coursework, and, of course, all of the exploring. So Matt Colbert’s (Kunming, Spring 2015) post is a little late…but it’s never too late to celebrate!

His jam-packed post includes making homemade dumplings, seeing thousands of fireworks, speaking Chinese with strangers on a 19-hour train journey, renting a three-person bike, and taking in (and photographing) some incredibly beautiful scenery before the long journey back to Kunming—all in four days.

Check out the story of Matt’s adventure, as well as his excellent photographs, here.

In Spring 2015, we have 35 bloggers worldwide sharing their study abroad experiences. Find out more about what our students all over the world are currently up to in our blogs.
