IES Abroad Buenos Aires students were featured in Diario El Cordillerano, the local newspaper of Bariloche—a city in the Patagonia region, located in the foothills of the Andes about 1200 kilometers from Buenos Aires—for a recent course-related excursion.
Each semester, students enrolled in a course called The Making of Patagonia visit a school called Aldea Infantil Bariloche. They donate musical instruments and present to the kindergarten class and other grades on the cultural, geographical, and historical differences between Argentina and the United States. After the visit, the school’s staff hosts a lunch for the students.
