Amsterdam, the Final Frontier—Our Blog Post of the Week

While it’s freezing here in Chicago (and throughout much of the country), it’s lovely to read about a place with more mild weather. Most people don’t think of Amsterdam as a warm destination, but Emily Xouris (Amsterdam, Spring 2015) makes it sound absolutely idyllic.

Emily describes Amsterdam as a place where the winter sun “…offers a warm kiss on the cheek while speeding through the cold air on a bike. Honestly, the feeling is magical.” It certainly sounds magical. And the photos she includes of the beautiful buildings and picturesque canals provide proof of Amsterdam’s charming qualities.

In our Blog Post of the Week, Emily describes her new home abroad, what it’s like biking to various museums with her professor as part of class, and how studying abroad in one city can put you in close proximity to so many other destinations.

This term, we have 35 student bloggers worldwide sharing their study abroad experiences. Find out more about what our students all over the world are currently up to in our blogs.
