Emily Maack, who studied with IES Abroad Salamanca during Spring 2009, and Whitney Lechner, a Spring 2009 alumna from IES Abroad Vienna, have published articles in the University of Tulsa Center for Global Education’s newsletter, Globe Trekking.
Emily's essay, “On Packing Well and Enjoying the Ride,” also won first place in the Center’s 2010 Study Abroad Essay Contest. What is Emily’s advice to students considering study abroad? “All books, clothing, and packing decisions aside, just go. I cannot imagine a more liberating or valuable experience.”
