Parliamentary tour

Taking place on Thursday or Saturday (depending on demand) price per person TBD
Discover the history and work of the UK Parliament on a fun and informative tour delivered by an expert guide. Your 90-minute tour in English includes the House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet current students interning at Parliament and learn about their experiences working there. If you’re lucky, their MPs may stop to say hello too!

Afternoon tea at Sketch

Set in a stunning Georgian building, owner Mazouz has created a fever dream of an experience in this artistic and delicious space with the help of French chef, Pierre Gagnaire and various designers and artists. While tea is the main menu, if you wish for fine dining, book for lunch or dinner in the Lecture Room, their 3 Michelin star restaurant. Tea is served in the gallery, accompanied by a string trio. £95 standard price per person, with English sparkling/Champagne £110 per person

Tour experience at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Join us for a guided tour of the Premier League football stadium for the Tottenham Hotspurs. This tour will include a tour of the new stadium built in 2019, a private Q&A with the club, and a walk over their skywalk! It’s an experience few get in London, definitely for those who love football/soccer. Price per person TBD

London Walking Tour

Join a London blue badge certified guide for a 3 hour walking tour of many of central London’s major sites. This tour is part of every student’s orientation at IES, and is often the highlight when they arrive. Starting at St James’s Park, we’ll wander through Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, hop the bus to St Paul’s, and make our way across the river to the Globe Theatre, and end our time in Borough Market. You’ll learn the history of the city and be able to ask your burning questions of a London expert! Not for the faint of heart, this tour is roughly 6-7 miles walking. Taking place on Friday or Saturday (depending on demand) price per person TBD

Michelin Star kitchen experience

Join chef Asimakis Chaniotis for a ½ day in the Pied a Terre kitchen where you will have an incredible insight into a busy kitchen and the level of detail required to create Michelin starred menus. You will observe the unfolding of a busy service as the pace picks up and tables come on order; the concentration required throughout each section of the kitchen; and in particular the precision of the Head Chef plating at the pass. The experience includes a 4 course tasting lunch in the restaurant afterward. Additional options include wine flights and menu upgrades at an additional cost. Up to 4 people per day, Friday and Saturday availability only; £235 per person
