So it has been just over a week since I returned back to the US and it is starting to sink in that my adventures in Barcelona are over. I’ll be the first to admit that I love being home and I missed my family and friends like crazy. My first few days back home were much needed and I adored getting to see my niece, Kennedy, for her second birthday.
That being said, I couldn’t be more appreciative of the time I got to spend in Spain this summer. I met some amazing people; people I intend to stay friends with forever, and I miss them. I miss them more than you would think a person could miss someone that they only knew for a month. Most of the friends I made in Barcelona through the IES program are still traveling Europe. I talk to them every day and they send me pictures of all the cool things they are doing over there. I feel like I am living vicariously through them sometimes But I got everything that I wanted out of my program in the 4 weeks I was there. I improved my Spanish immensely, I learned how to navigate Barcelona on my own, and I made some unforgettable memories with some lifelong friends. I wouldn’t trade this adventure for the world and I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity.
Thank you!

When I was 15 I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Spain through a student ambassador program and I have been dreaming about returning to Barcelona ever since! I am absolutely ecstatic to see the work of Antoni Gaudi once more and to take in the beautiful lights of my favorite city again.</span></div>
