If there is one thing I love… it is a cute coffee shop. And let me tell you, Granada does not disappoint.
So, for all the coffee lovers, I have compiled a list of all my favorite cafes in Granada with reviews of what each one has to offer.
**Fair warning, Spanish time is a real thing so I would double-check the hours before you go cause the online postings are not always the reality lol.
**Also while I’m giving disclaimers… let me just say most of the time I am far too impatient and hungry to let my phone eat first. Apologies in advance for the aesthetic photos that could have been.
Cafe Noat
Address: Plaza de los Girones, 3. Local comercial/Noat Café, 18009 Granada
Hours: Lunes a viernes de 9:00 a 17:00; Sábado y domingo de 9:00 a 18:00

Review: Aesthetic, aesthetic, aesthetic. If you have read any of my previous blogs then you know why Cafe Noat is first on my list. It is my host-moms cafe and she is the coolest person ever – shoutout la reina de mi corazón, SHAIMA. Anyways, Noat has great coffee, matcha, kombucha, tostadas, sandwiches, and more. Just know, there is a 30-minute computer limit in the mornings since space is limited. BUT PRO TIP, once it hits around 1 P.M., or so, and things slow down, there is no time limit for computer usage and the WiFi is always reliable. So, if you are a coffee shop study grind type of person, you have to save Noat for an afternoon study session.

Minuit Pan y Café - Cafeteria Panaderia

Review: A staple. Bomb croissants. Bomb bread. Bomb coffee. Bomb tostadas. I am not exaggerating when I say Minuit has the best scrambled eggs I have tasted. And, if you don’t try their croissant de almendra then you have not lived. But go early to get one, they will probably be gone by 11:00am. Safe to say I love this place. It is close to the IES center so I always go to do work in between classes. You can use WiFi whenever and it is a reliable network so you won’t have to randomly hotspot out of nowhere (you laugh now, but this is a real struggle at other places).

La Qarmita - Libros, Café & Eventos
Address: C. Águila 20, Centro, 18002 Granada
Hours: Lunes a domingo de 10:30 a 00:00; Viernes de 11:00 a 00:00

Review: A hidden gem. This is one of the most magical places I have visited in Granada, including the Alhambra. This cafe/bookstore has trinkets, books, nicknacks lining the walls, comfy sofas, unique chairs and tables, and the owner is so kind. Also, I kid you not, the bathroom is Harry Potter-themed with lights hanging from the ceiling and music playing as you enter. Also, every mug is unique. I have no idea where they got all of this niche stuff but for example, I had my Cafe Con Leche Especial (you have to try) in a jumbo Winnie the Pooh mug. I mean come on… how can you say “no” to that? One downside is that you can use wifi for about an hour or two, but then the owner will come up to your table and ask you to buy something else if you want to keep mooching off the wifi. Understandable but I just want to mooch for free sometimes :( Finally, the place turns into more of a bar/hangout situation at night and there are fun events. A MUST VISIT.

Oteiza Coffee

Review: Clean girl coffee shop. This place is a little expensive for Granada, but it is really good. They have a bunch of different kinds of lattes, teas, smoothies, juices, etc. They also have really good breakfast if you are looking for the avocado toast or acai bowl vibe. Side note: I really like all the black, stainless steel cups, plates, and silverware. So modern. They have free wifi, but it is a little hit or miss—if there are too many people, the connection is not great. All that being said, this place is great, especially on a day you want to treat yourself and have a little extra in the budget.

MIMIMI
Address: Camino de Ronda, C. Ángel Barrios, 87, 18004 Granada
Hours: Lunes a domingo de 8:30 a 20:30

Review: This place is so cute. The ceiling is filled with colorful flowers and the walls have fake grass. A very nature-oriented, sustainable vibe. Also, there are cute sofas and chairs with pops of color. The coffee is really good and pretty cheap and I have heard their pastries are yum. They also have vegetarian and vegan-friendly options! Also, they have shelves with a bunch of fun board games and activities that you can play while you are there. WiFi has no limits and is reliable!

FIKA Specialty Coffee & Brunch
Address: Calle Santa Escolastica, 12, Granada, Spain 18010
Hours: Lunes a jueves de 8:00 a 19:00; Viernes de 8:00 a 13:00 y 16:00 a 19:00; Sábado y domingo de 9:00 a 19:00

Review: This place has a very cool vibe and there is some seating. They have really good coffee, brunch, and infusions. Also, there WiFi is available all the time. However, the connection is pretty bad and I honestly haven’t had a time where I could stay there doing work without having to use my hotspot. All and all, I like the food and drinks a lot and since it opens early, some days before class I grab a coffee, especially since it is one of the only cafes that has vanilla syrup for when I want a little sweet latte to start my day.

Bombón Boss
Address: C. Gran Vía de Colón, 12, Centro, 18010 Granada
Hours: Lunes a domingo de 7:30 a 21:00
Instagram: @bombon_boss
Review: Tourist trap (but kinda in a good way and also pretty cheap) for when an American girl just wants her iced vanilla latte. Sue me. This place is good but everything is super sweet. They have some good pastries and sandwiches too. There is free wifi all the time, a lot of space, and they are open from early to late. The first time you go they will give you the wifi password on your receipt. Shhhh don’t tell anyone… but it never changes. So you can just walk in, sit down, and open your laptop if you are in a crunch and need wifi.

Thank you for coming along for The Great Granada Coffee Shop Crawl!
