As my time in Barcelona has comes to a close, I want to share with everyone a list of what I will miss most about studying abroad. Number one on the list? The sunsets. Not to be dramatic or anything because I know I can watch the sun set anywhere in the world. However, there is something cathartic watching the sunset with people I had only met a few months prior taking in the most surreal views thousands of miles away from home. To be traveling the world at 21 with incredible instant friends is such a gift. I say this a lot in my posts and I will keep saying it: something as simple as watching the sunset with people you love really makes you take a step back and realize how fortunate you are. How big of an opportunity this is. Take in each moment. :)

Ceryna Baens

My name is Ceryna Baens and I am a Communication major with an emphasis in TV and Film at California Lutheran University. When I was 12 years old, I made a Twitter account to meet popstar Justin Bieber. Three years of hard work later, I was serenaded by him onstage in front of 17,000 people. This is the unconventional story of a fan girl turned college woman in pursuit of her wildest of dreams.
