Become An Alumni Weekend Class Ambassador

Did you stay in touch with all your classmates after study abroad? Do you wish you could reconnect now? Maybe you’ve organized weekend trips and evening meetups for your classmates. If this sounds like you, IES Abroad needs your help to plan and promote your upcoming Alumni Weekend as an Alumni Weekend Class Ambassador! In this role, you will be a critical liaison between IES and your classmates to weigh in on weekend activities and help rally support and participation in your Alumni Weekend. You can go it alone or recruit a friend to help – the goal is to personally reach as many classmates as possible!

As an Alumni Weekend Class Ambassador, we ask you to do the following:

  • Sign a Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement 
  • Make a gift to IES Abroad - This gift can be any size to any allocation that is meaningful to you!
  • Personally reach out to 20-30 classmates to encourage them to come back and give back for the Alumni Weekend. Not sure what to say? No Worries IES Abroad will provide contact lists and templates for outreach.
  • Serve as a signer for class communications from IES Abroad - We'll write them and you can personalize and approve them!
  • Serve as a resource for planning Alumni Weekend activities - IES Abroad will provide you with resources as needed, including Zoom links, venue suggestions, etc. 
  • Willing to be featured in other IES Abroad communication - IES Abroad will always ask your permission first, and make sure you have approval for any materials where you will be featured
